Fresh New Look At Football – Puzzle Football Unveiled

October 25, 2013 by Sara Leave a Comment

Part Time Evil, LLC, a game studio and the makers of Zig Zag Zombie, an Amazon #1 Game App and Top 100 App Store Puzzle/Family Game, announced their upcoming new mobile game Puzzle Football: Quest of the Gridiron. This game promises a totally new combination of puzzle mechanics, adventure level-ups, and football strategy.

Puzzle Football is rendered in vivid retro pixel art, recalling the classic football video games of the 80s and 90s. The game is designed to fill the gap between simulation-style football games and puzzle games. It is a football game that utilizes a puzzle board to drive the action.

For the player who doesn’t have the time to play a complicated consolve football game, Puzzle Football is a convenient and addicting mobile solution; sessions can last only a few minutes, but the career of a player is persistent. This means that busy gamers can return to the game for small bouts off and on throughout the day.

The developers expect to create characters of wide visual variety; The game contains a number of fanciful players, including leather helmet-clad vintage players, modern pro-style players, and even some surprises, like a robot and a pirate. The developers describe it as “puzzle mechanics meet football strategy, with deep role playing level-up mechanics.”

For fans of role playing adventures, the game includes unlockable equipment, special football “powers,” and a quest-style progression. Hardcore football fans can use football tactics to build the strongest team for a matchup, and then call the right plays for each situation. There is a planned single player mode, as well as networked multiplayer, in a turn-based style.

Puzzle Football is due to the App Store in 2014. The project is being funded on Indiegogo.
