Snappy Bird Comes to the Flappy App Store

March 13, 2014 by Sara Leave a Comment

The makers of “3 Magic Shots: Paid Apps for Free Daily” and “Rocket MP3 Downloader” has released a debutant game called Snappy Bird on the iOS App Store. Snappy Bird is based on Flappy Bird, which went viral and was subsequently taken down by the developer Dong Nguyen. In Snappy Bird, you take on the role of a bird that must avoid pipes as long as possible to survive.

“This is as close as you can get to Flappy Bird. When we looked at all the alternatives which were available, we realized that the gap both in gameplay and graphics was phenomenal,” said Harsh Rajat, Co-Founder of 3 Magic Shots. “We sat down to measure each and every aspect of Flappy Bird to make it as fun as the original one was, both in the gameplay and graphics.”

The idea was pitched to Digital Poke, the makers of 360 Web Browser, Meteoric and Drop Out Adventures. It immediately gained traction and a partnership / game was born.

Snappy Bird, with the name of “Floppy Bird Extreme,” was first launched on the Google Play by 3 Magic Shots and has already gained a huge traction with an overall rating of 4.4, 1,300+ reviews and over 50,000 downloads in a week. It ranks in the Top 50 of the Google Play store.

The creators are aiming to bring same popularity and fame for them on the Apple App Store as well.

“Snappy Bird has in some ways has even surpassed Flappy Bird as can be seen by the flooding of our emails with countless praising emails from users of Google Play… but the credit for the original concept and the game will always remain with Dong Nguyen” – Zeeshan Macchiwala, Digital Poke
