Microsoft and Crytek today took the wraps off a new video documentary highlighting the Ryse Son of Rome combat. Ryse: Sone of Rome, an Xbox One launch game, has been debated among would-be Xbox One owners for quite some time due to its focus on quick-time button presses for combat.

Featuring interviews with Gameplay Director Patrick Esteves, Senior Producer Brian Chambers, Animator Joseph Garrahan and others, the Ryse Son of Rome combat ViDoc shows how Crytek has used Roman combat experts and motion capture technology to create the Xbox One launch game’s combat system.
