He also passed for 339 yards last weekend to go with 109 rushing yards and a total of six touchdowns.
The Crimson Tide defense won’t likely let Mitchell’s success continue. Last Saturday Alabama contained the read-option work of Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott. They also kept the SEC’s No. 2 running back, Josh Robinson, quiet and in check. With a new No. 1 ranking and the college football playoffs distinctly on their radar, look for Alabama’s defense to continue the domination Alabama’s enjoyed over Western Carolina for the past decade.
Alabama has now won 14 straight games at home, and today’s Western Carolina vs Alabama game is in Tuscaloosa. That doesn’t bode well for the Catamounts.
