Disney today shipped Spectrobes Collector’s Edition for the Nintendo DS, a game that includes both the full version of the anime-style action RPG as well as all 38 Code Input Cards and two exclusive Geo cards that enable players to unlock exclusive content.
The special edition of Spectrobes also includes a Mini Guide from Brady Games, which includes statistics on all of the Spectrobes in the game.
Spectrobes Collector’s Edition allows players to take on the role of planetary patrol officer Rallen, who must collect mysterious fossilized creatures (“Spectrobes”) to complete missions and defeat enemies. To collect Spectrobes, players use the Nintendo DS stylus and touchscreen to excavate the creatures as fossils, awaken them using the DS microphone, and evolve them into more powerful Spectrobes.
The game also includes multiplayer functionality for one-on-one battles, tournaments for up to 16 friends, and the ability to exchange items and Spectrobes via local wireless connectivity. Players can also participate in an interactive community where they can upload game results and stats, view leader boards and earn badges via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
