Dragon's Lair Set to Slay the Nintendo DS

September 12, 2007 by Sara Leave a Comment

The classic game Dragon’s Lair is coming to a Nintendo DS near you during the first quarter of 2008. As part of its licensing deal, Conspiracy Entertainment also announced it will publish the DS versions of Space Ace and Dragon’s Lair II: Time Warp.
Dragon’s Lair DS will feature two modes of play: 1983 Arcade and Director’s Cut.
The 1983 version plays just like the original arcade release, making it the first handheld version of Dragon’s Lair that is 100-percent true to the original (all the scenes, all the death scenes and all the quirks and oddities found in the original).
The Director’s Cut is aimed mostly at players who have never experienced the game before, offering new gameplay options that improve the flow and interaction of the game. It will also include full support for Rumble Pak, the DS stylus and voice recognition.
Dragon’s Lair is due to ship in the 1st quarter of 2008 with Space Ace and Dragon’s Lair II: Time Warp to follow at a later date.
