Tired of rocking out to Guitar Hero in the confines of your console-filled living room? Then it’s time to take your show on tour, as Activision today began shipping Guitar Hero: On Tour for Nintendo DS.
The DS-exclusive version of Guitar Hero comes packaged with a Guitar Hero Guitar Grip peripheral that fits snugly into Nintendo DS and basically turns it into a mini Guitar Hero guitar complete with frets. It also comes with a unique Guitar Hero pick-stylus.
Guitar Hero: On Tour isn’t a port of any existing SKU, nor is its track list. In fact, Activision told DailyGame that its song lineup is “one of the most diverse set lists ever offered in a Guitar Hero game.” So who’s on tap? We don’t have a full list, but we do know there are master tracks from Nirvana, OK Go, No Doubt, blink-182 and Bloc Party, among others.
In addition to a Career Mode, Guitar Hero: On Tour includes a co-op mode using a local wireless connection or can battle one another in a Guitar Duel using new Battle Items unique to Nintendo DS.
