Zoo Tycoon 2 DS shipped today for Nintendo’s handheld gaming system, answering the age-old question “is that an elephant in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?” Clearly, it’s an elephant, and a zebra, and a giraffe, and any number of the other animals included in THQ’s Zoo Tycoon 2 DS.
Zoo Tycoon 2 DS includes a host of brand-new features that build upon the franchise’s handheld history dating back to 2005.
The game features three different gameplay modes that allow players to layout and customize their zoo as Zoo Designer, manage their zoo and maximize its financial success as Zoo Director, or interact and care for three-dimensional versions of their animals as Zookeeper.
The DS controls utilize the touch screen and stylus to let players perform all game functions, including zoo construction, purchasing animals and designing exhibits. Zoo Tycoon 2 DS also features wireless multi-card functionality, enabling players to exchange zoo data and compete with friends.
Zoo Tycoon 2 DS is now available for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
