Battlefield 3: Armored Kill DLC Hits PS3, Coming to Xbox 360 and PC on Sept. 11

If you happen to own a PlayStation 3 and are a Battlefield 3 Premium Member, congratulations! Battlefield 3: Armored Kill, the third DLC pack for Battlefield 3, is all yours. If you’re an Xbox 360 owner and Premium Member, you’ll have to wait until Sept. 11 for the same content. If you’re not a Premium Member, though, your wait’s a tad bit longer: Sept. 18 on PS3 nd Sept. 24 for Xbox 360 and PC. With all those release dates for the same content, is your mind spinning yet?

Whatever date you’re eligible to download it on your platform of choice, you’ll have access to four new multiplayer maps, including the biggest map in Battlefield history, plus six additional vehicles, 20+ unlocks and the new “Tank Superiority” gameplay mode.

Battlefield 3: Armored Kill delivers six new vehicles, including tanks, ATVs, mobile artillery and an aerial gunship that lets players rain death from above. The four multiplayer maps range from the snow-capped peaks of Alborz Mountains to the arid vistas of Bandar Desert, the latter of which is the largest multiplayer map in Battlefield history.

Also making its debut in Battlefield 3: Armored Kill is Tank Superiority, a mode in which two opposing tank platoons battle it out for control of a single location on the map until one team has fully bled their opponent’s respawn tickets dry.

This latest Battlefield 3 DLC, like all BF3 expansion packs, is available for $14.99 on PlayStation Network and on PC via Origin.com. Its Xbox Live Marketplace cost is 1200 Microsoft Points.

As for the Battlefield Premium membership, which is required to get in on the earlier side of all those release dates above, that will set you back $49.99 on PSN and PC or 4000 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Marketplace.
