First, Bethesda Softworks announces they’re buying id Software, then they come out two weeks later with the news that they’re shipping Wet for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 15. OK, so one of those two items is bigger news than the other, but hearing that the shooter is headed to retail on Sept. 15 is certainly not something we expected to hear. That’s just six weeks out.
Wet features a main character named Rubi Malone, who uses dual pistols and samurai swords during the game’s acrobatic combat. Set in various locations around the globe, Wet gives players the ability to chain together multiple moves, including sliding down ladders, running on walls, jumping and flipping.
The third-person shooter is being developed by A2M.
