Electronic Arts had some killer deals going for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but apparently Amazon doesn’t know that those sales periods are over, because the e-tailer has some big discounts on EA’s action games today. The special pricing is part of Amazon’s 17 Days of Deals promo, with today being focused specifically on EA’s action titles.
So, what counts as an “action game” by Amazon’s standards? Some great games in general, that’s what, which makes these one-day discounts all the more valuable. Here’s what’s on sale today at Amazon: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Medal of Honor and Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition. All of those games, both for the Xbox 360 and PS3, are available for at least 33% off. The PC versions are available for a discounted rate as well.

It’s nice to see such quality and distinctively different games up there, especially the Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate set. There’s not really a stinker among them, and to get them all for one-third off MSRP is a great opportunity.
