The launch-week downloadable content for Guitar Hero World Tour will be available exclusively on Xbox 360, Activision announced today. The songs will stay that way for two weeks (starting Oct. 30), after which they will be available on the PlayStation Network as well as Xbox Live.
Guitar Hero World Tour’s launch-week DLC will range from R.E.M. to “Jessie’s Girl,” by Rick Springfield. The R.E.M. Track Pack features three songs, which can also be downloaded as singles, from the band’s newest album, Accelerate: “Horse to Water,” “Man-Sized Wreath” and “Supernatural Superserious.”
A “Classic Rock Track Pack” will also be available at launch with three party songs: “Rock and Roll Band” by Boston, “Hot Blooded” by Foreigner and “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield. All three songs will also be available for individual download.
The Guitar Duels, a compilation of original compositions by Ted Nugent and Zakk Wylde, will also be available for free at launch. The songs will be playable outside of Career mode.
The song “No Rain” by alternative rock group Blind Melon will be available as DLC during the launch week of Guitar Hero World Tour.
Guitar Hero World Tour is scheduled to ship on Oct. 26.
