The creators of the outstanding Uncharted series, Naughty Dog, are hard at work on a new PS3-exclusive game called “The Last of Us,” an all-new franchise unveiled in a trailer during the Video Game Awards. Today, new details have surfaced regarding the PS3 game.
The Last of Us blends survival and action elements as it tells a character-driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague. In light of Naught Dog’s outstanding work with the Uncharted series, we have no doubt this new game will nail the “character driven” aspects promised by Sony. In the game, abandoned cities are being reclaimed by nature, while the remaining survivors are killing each other for food, weapons and whatever they can get their hands on.
The story will revolve around Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a brave and wise-beyond-her-years teenage girl, who must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States.

We are confident The Last of Us will take a leap forward in cinematic gaming and storytelling, providing gamers with an experience unlike anything else in the industry.”
