The carcass of the NBA Finals isn’t even cold yet, and already we’re thinking about football. So is Electronic Arts, though, as the company today released the NCAA Football 09 demo for the Xbox 360 and PS3 (via Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network, of course).
In the NCAA Football 09 demo, players can try two different games modes: Play Now and Mascot Mash Up. The demo includes defending NCAA football champion LSU into Columbus to battle the Buckeyes for the Play Now mode. Meanwhile, the Mascot Mash Up mode lets players duel mascots when Texas stampedes into The Swamp.
The demo also gives players their first chance to test out some of EA’s new gameplay elements, including the Breakaway Animation engine and Home Field Advantage. There are also options to try and “Ice the Kicker” before a game-winning field goal attempt and to take the “QB Quiz” to help the quarterback regain composure after a turnover. Interactive Timeouts are also included.
The full version of NCAA Football 09 for PS3 and Xbox 360 is scheduled to release in North America on July 15.
