Tecmo has just this morning released the first of three survival modes for Ninja Gaiden Sigma, its PlayStation 3-exclusive action game from Team Ninja. The downloadable survival mode is now available on the PlayStation Store.
Called the “Weapon Master” mode, this download features survival battles in which the usable weapons are limited. In order to achieve super ninja status, players must master all the available weapons and utilize each weapon’s special characteristics to defeat enemies’ relentless attacks.
Through the PlayStation Network, players can then compete with other users by uploading their score to see if they’re a Ninja Dog or Ninja Master.
Priced at $2.99, the download requires a copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma to play. A second download is scheduled to release at the end of the month, followed by a third installment scheduled to release at the end of October.
