It may be E3 this week, and gamers may want to hear about all the games coming later in the year, but that’s not stopping a few titles from slipping into retail right now. Operation Flashpoint: Red River is one such game, as Codemasters announced that the shooter will ship this Tuesday, June 7, for Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version will also be available. To coincide with the launch, Codemasters has released the first downloadable content for the game, “The Valley of Death” pack, which features eight new Fireteam Engagements.
Yes, the tactical shooter is already out in other territories.
The Valley of Death Pack features eight new Fireteam Engagements playable in single-player mode, or in four-player online co-op. It will be available at the end of June from the Xbox Marketplace and Windows Marketplace for 560 Microsoft Points, and via the PlayStation Network for $6.99. The pack includes two new Combat Sweep missions, two new CSAR missions, two new Last Stand missions and two new Rolling Thunder missions, all set in new locales. Players will fight through the warehouses and factories of a former Soviet Manufacturing town and carry out operations in a riverside mud-brick village set beneath foreboding hilltop ruins.
