The Fourth of July is just a few days away, and Activision can think of no better way to celebrate than to let PS3 and Xbox 360 owners download for free the Top Gun Anthem (the theme song) for use in Guitar Hero 3.
We won’t hold that decision against them….
Beginning July 3, the Grammy Award-winning “Top Gun Anthem” will be available as a free downloadable song for Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock. The song makes perfect sense for Guitar Hero 3, since it’s a rather guitar-heavy tune, but we must confess that it doesn’t necessarily scream “celebrate our nation’s birth.”
