Today, Ubisoft announced the launch of new downloadable content for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game. The new content will be available on PlayStationNetwork for the PlayStation3 on November 9 and will come later this month on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 coinciding with the films Blu-ray and DVD release on November 9th.
The download is priced at $2 and includes the new playable Knives Chau character, as well as two new game modes: Battle Royale and Dodge Ball. In addition, Ubisoft will also offer a free patch, which upgrades the players original gameplay to co-op.
Developed in collaboration with Universal Partnerships & Licensing, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is based on Bryan Lee OMalleys award-winning graphic novel series and the Universal Pictures film directed by genre-smashing filmmaker Edgar Wright.
The game follows Scott Pilgrims quest to date Ramona Flowers by defeating her seven evil exes. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is a rock n roll action love story for the 8-bit generation with an arcade-style, beat-em-up experience inspired by many classic retro games of the 80s and 90s. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is rated T for TEEN by the ESRB.
