The PlayStation 3 (PS3) has finally gotten its price cut. That’s right, the PS3 price drop, long since overdue and long since “demanded” by consumers, will be upon us as of Aug. 19 immediately. The new PS3 price: $299.
In addition to the PS3 price drop, Sony today announced a new PS3 Slim, a smaller version of the hardware that will have all the same functionality, but with a smaller form factor. Oh, and it’s got a 120GB internal hard drive. The PS3 Slim will be available September 1.
