Star Wars Pinball fans, this is the news you were looking for. Zen Studios today unveiled Star Wars Pinball Balance of the Force, a batch of Star Wars Pinball new tables that will appear this fall. An video trailer for the Star Wars Pinball new tables is included below.
Zen Studios did not announce which specific platforms would be getting Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force, or when each one would get it. However, the core Star Wars Pinball game is on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, PS Vita, PC and iOS/Android, so it’s safe to say every platform under the sun will get the new tables at some point. Whether the Xbox 360 and/or PS3 will get a timed exclusive on the Star Wars Pinball new tables remains to be seen.
The Balance of the Force DLC pack will include three new tables, bringing the total number of Star Wars Pinball tables to six. The original game shipped with three tables as well. The new tables sound like they’re right up Star Wars fans’ alley, judging by the descriptions Zen Studios sent along today. Take a look for yourself.
In the new Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi table, the fate of the galaxy is in players’ hands. Help the rebellion destroy the Sith and the fearsome Death Star while aiding Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, R2-D2 and C-3PO. The goal is nothing short of restoring peace to the galaxy. And watching the Ewoks dance.
In a new table dedicated to Darth Vader, gamers will ptribute to the Dark Lord of the Sith by using the dark side of the Force to mercilessly pursue the Jedi and Rebel Alliance. One bonus mission includes facing off with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker. Say it with me now, all you Episode 3 haters: “Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!”
Finally, a new Star Wars: Starfighter Assault table will have gamers supporting either the Rebel Alliance’s Fleet or the Galactic Empire’s Armada. This new table features legendary Starfighters like the X-wing and TIE Fighter as well as iconic vessels like the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star II.
These Star Wars Pinball new tables will will integrate seamlessly into the existing Star Wars Pinball games. A specific release date hasn’t yet been announced. As for the platforms, Zen Studios kindly reminded us that Star Wars Pinball is currently available on Xbox Live Arcade, PS3, PS Vita, Steam, Nintendo Wii U, Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows 8, Mac App Store and Kindle Fire HD.
