Star Wars Return of the Jedi Pinball Table Trailer

September 23, 2013 by Sara Leave a Comment

We’re big fans of Star Wars here at DailyGame, and I’m personally a big fan of pinball. Put those things together, and you’ve got what seems to be a match made in Heaven. Today, Zen Studios released the latest video for its peanut-butter-and-chocolate-like Star Wars Return of the Jedi Pinball table. You can watch the trailer for yourself below.

The Star Wars Episode VI The Return of the Jedi pinball table is inspired by the events of the beloved film. You know, the one where Jabba dies, Anakin gets burned again (but this time in a good way on the pyre) and a balance is struck in the Force. Set in the forest of the Endor moon, the game has players join Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, R2-D2 and C-3PO to defeat the Sith and restore peace in the galaxy.

The Star Wars Return of the Jedi Pinball table is packed with interactive 3D objects inspired by the film, including an AT-ST, Speeder bike, Death Star 2 hologram, TIE fighters, Tydirium shuttle and a Shield generator. Table missions follow scenes from the movie, including the Battle of Endor and The Duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force will integrate seamlessly into existing Star Wars Pinball games and Zen Studios pinball platforms on digital stores including Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network (PS3 and PS Vita) Nintendo Wii U eShop, Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows 8, the Mac App Store and Kindle Fire HD. And oh yeah, a little PC platform you may have heard of called Steam.

I realize the Star Wars Return of the Jedi Pinball table is just one of several in the DLC, but it looks great. Props to the guys and gals at Zen Studios for keeping things fresh yet true to the franchise at the same time.
