StarDrone Coming to PS3 on April 5 in the U.S.

PlayStation Network logoWe all love our casual games, especially when they start overseas, do well and make their way to the States. There’s just something exotic about that, to a certain degree, which is one of the reasons the PS3 game StarDrone coming to the U.S. owners on April 5 is so enticing. That, and the fact that StarDrone also supports stereoscopic 3DTV gameplay. Hard to go wrong there.

Compatible with the DualShock 3 controller but also designed with special controls for the PlayStation Move, StarDrone is a PSN game that challenges players to pilot their Drones across the galaxy, collecting pieces of Equilibrix in order to restore the equilibrium of the universe and stop the evil G-Noids from taking over.

The G-Noids are not to be confused with “The Noid” of Domino’s fame. One is celestial, the other is terrestrial. But we’re fairly certain they all like pizza.

As players make their way through StarDrone, the Drone vehicle is constantly in motion. The more stellar matter the player collects with the StarDrone, the faster his or her Drone will travel until it’s moving at the speed of light. Along the way, key power-ups will earn players more points, which will ultimately let the player compete against the world on the StarDrone leaderboard.

StarDrone will be available on April 5 for PlayStation 3 for $7.99, or for $4.99 for PlayStation Plus accounts.
