Namco Bandai logoNamco’s famed fighting franchise is preparing for a pre-holiday compilation debut on PlayStation 3, as the company announced that Tekken Hybrid has gone gold for PS3 and is on track to ship Nov. 22 in North America. Tekken Hybrid includes Tekken Tag Tournament HD, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue and the Tekken: Blood Vengeance 3D computer-generated movie, all available on a single Blu-ray Disc.

Tekken Hybrid will also be available in a special limited edition package that includes a 2-CD soundtrack with music from Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken Tag Tournament 2, a hardcover art book and a voucher code for exclusive PlayStation Home items.

Tekken Tag Tournament HD gives players an HD version of the PS2 launch title. In the game, players choose two of their favorite characters and compete in two-on-two fights, tagging their characters in and out at will. Also included in Tekken Tag Tournament HD is the “Tekken Bowl” bowling mini-game. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue gives western fans a chance to try the current Japanese arcade smash hit, with four playable characters including exclusive outfits taken from Tekken: Blood Vengeance 3D.

Tekken: Blood Vengeance 3D brings together a wealth of prominent Japanese anime talent to tell a story of Ling Xiaoyu as she is hired by the G Corporation to come into contact with a high school student named Shin Kamiya. Ling’s mission is complicated when a mysterious girl named Alisa Bosconovitch — an agent from a rival company — shows up to halt her progress. Tekken: Blood Vengeance 3D is presented in a high-definition widescreen format and is obviously compatible with 3D TVs.
