Titan Invasion PS4 Coming this Summer, as are PS3, Vita

March 27, 2014 by Sara Leave a Comment

Sony is winning the console sales war in the PS4 vs. Xbox One debate, but the software momentum seems to be swinging in Microsoft’s direction. Sony’s spent a lot of time in recent weeks talking about upcoming PS4 games, and the discussion largely focuses on indie games. One of those is a Titan Invasion PS4 version of the hit PC series.

Titan Invasion PS4 is one of two games the developer, Puppygames, is bringing to Sony’s platform this year. Sort of, at any rate. The Titan Invasion collection will include two action titles from the UK developer, “Titan Attacks!” and “Revenge of the Titans.” The two-fer will release as a Titan Invasion PS4 SKU as well as a game for the PS3 and PS Vita.

The Titan Invasion PS4 “compilation” will be sold as a cross-buy title on all three platforms.

Titan Attacks! is a straight-up, highly polished arcade action title inspired by games like Space Invaders and Galaga, but with many modern features including a full ship upgrade system, online leaderboards and stylish, neo-retro visuals.

Revenge of the Titans keeps the frantic action and the distinctive visual style, but expands the game into a unique mash-up of Real Time Strategy and Tower Defense including over 25 different types of buildings and a deep upgrade system as players progress for 50 challenging levels.

Titan Invasion PS4 (and PS3 and PS Vita) will be available later this summer. The games are being combined and ported from the PC by Curve Digital. The games should be in good hands, as Curve Digital has worked with developers such as Jasper Byrne (Lone Survivor) and Mike Bithell (Thomas Was Alone) to bring smaller developers’ games to consoles including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and Wii U.
