Ubisoft E3 2012 Game Lineup Details

May 31, 2012 by Sara 1 Comment

Ubisoft logoThe annual gaming fest known as E3 is just a few days away now, with press conferences kicking off on Monday and the trade show itself getting underway on Tuesday. For a quick peek at what’s on tap from Ubisoft this year, here’s a synopsis of what they’ll be showing in their Monday press conference, as well as what they plan to have for hands-on time in their E3 booth.

Ubisoft’s press conference will feature demonstrations and trailers of their upcoming lineup for the new Nintendo Wii U, as well as digital titles, special guests and “surprise announcements.” This order and wording is exactly as we received it from Ubisoft, which makes the omission of specifically calling-out Xbox 360 and/or PS3 quite intriguing. Nintendo’s been relatively quiet on the Wii U front leading up to E3, but maybe this is an indicator that E3 will mark one helluva coming-out party for Nintendo’s new console.

Inside Ubisoft’s E3 booth, Ubisoft will have on display Assassin’s Creed III, Far Cry 3, Rayman Legends, Rocksmith “and many more.” This likely means there are some new franchises and/or as-yet-unannounced Wii U games slated for display. We’ll find out more next week.

“This year’s E3 promises to be one of our biggest and best yet,” said Yves Guillemot, Founder and CEO of Ubisoft. “We’re showcasing the strongest, most competitive collection of core titles we’ve had in years, innovative new games for new platforms and a broad lineup that has something for everyone.”

In a first, Ubisoft is inviting gamers to ask questions to its teams on Uplay®, Ubisoft’s online service dedicated to enhancing the experience of players across games and platforms. The best questions will be selected by one of the guest hosts and asked live during the press conference. Ubisoft also is sending eight select Uplay members to E3, where they will interview teams backstage, preview games and provide video reports from the show floor.
