The PlayStation 4 has only a few exclusive titles so far, and news that a Zen Pinball 2 PS4 version is on the way later this month doesn’t rectify that. But it sure does give all those 2-million-plus new PS4 owners a nice game to play over the holidays, even if it’s not an exclusive one. Zen Pinball 2 will release on PlayStation 4 on Dec. 17 in North America and Dec. 18 in Europe.
Zen Pinball 2 will launch on PS4 as a free platform download, with a total of 20 tables available as paid DLC. The core game will feature a selection of tables from the previous generation’s table library, as shown below. Marvel’s Doctor Strange will join the Zen Pinball 2 PS4 version as launch content. The table will be available for $2.99.
The fantasy-themed Sorcerer’s Lair table will be free for all players on PlayStation 4. Simply download the Zen Pinball 2 PS4 platform, and you can access the table at no cost. The following Zen Pinball 2 PS4 tables and packs will be available for purchase at launch:
- Star Wars Pinball
- Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force
- Marvel Pinball
- Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles
- Plants vs. Zombies Pinball
- Epic Quest
- Earth Defense
Table packs will cost $9.99, and individual tables will cost $2.99 on PS4. Zen Studios, the developer of Zen Pinball, has what they’re calling “HUGE plans for pinball in 2014, including more Star Wars Pinball and Marvel Pinball tables, as well as tables based on more iconic and exciting brands.” More to come as we learn it.
