Boulder Dash-ROCKS will release for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP in North America after all, says 10Tacle Studios Mobile. Coming to North America in Q1 2008, The Nintendo DS version of Boulder Dash-ROCKS was released in Europe on November 22. We’ve included video below of the game in action.
Boulder Dash made its debut in the early 1980s, but now Boulder Dash is back with a new look on the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. The game’s main principle remains unchanged: players have to collect sparkling diamonds while avoiding numerous traps and beating opponents to reach them, all the while watching out for falling boulders. However, both the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP version have some unique takes on the franchise.
Each platform version contains four gaming modes. In addition to the classic single-player mode, which takes players through 80 levels spread across four different game worlds, Boulder Dash-ROCKS! will offers a new multiplayer mode and two additional play modes. A new mode was custom designed for each of the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP platforms, with neither of them ever being seen before in any Boulder Dash game.
Of course, 10Tacle didn’t tell us what those modes were…. They’ve got to save something for an announcement later on, right?
