Electronic Arts today began shipping the PSP (PlayStation Portable) version of Need for Speed ProStreet in North America. The European version of Need for Speed ProStreet on PSP will begin shipping Feb. 22.
Need for Speed ProStreet on PSP includes two new in-game features, the Driver Persona and Driver Intuition. Both tools allow gamers to tailor their driving experience to their ability and skill level. This version also includes 35 cars, including the 2009 Nissan GT-R, the 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 and the 2008 Mitsubishi Evo X.
The new driving features let players take control of their journey whether a “weekend warriorâ€? or “adrenaline junkie.” Players can choose from a variety of Driver Personas to customize the race’s difficulty level, while the Driver Intuition feature guides and assists racers of all levels on the best line around a course.
Need for Speed ProStreet includes some of the world’s most iconic race locations, such as Tokyo’s Shuto Expressway, the Autobahn and the Nevada desert, with new tracks (and cars) unlockable as players progress. As players win races, they also earn rewards and prize money to either buy a new car or upgrade their current ride.
