PAC-MAN Championship Edition to be Available for PSP, PSPgo

February 2, 2011 by Sara Leave a Comment

PAC-MAN Championship Edition will be available for the PSP and PSPgo as a PlayStation minis title on the PlayStationNetwork . PAC-MAN Championship Edition catapults PAC-MAN into the new millennium with fresh graphics, six dynamic maps and a twist on the classic PAC-MAN gameplay. PlayStation 3 and PSP system owners will be able to experience the critically acclaimed PAC-MAN Championship Edition either at home or on-the-go this fall.

PAC-MAN Championship Edition was designed specifically for the 2007 PAC-MAN World Championship and was Toru Iwatani’s, the series creator, final send-off to his beloved gaming icon before his retirement. Redefining what a classic arcade remake should be when the game was originally released in June 2007, PAC-MAN Championship Edition features six mazes, each with their own unique conditions for winning. In Championship Mode, players have five minutes to reach a high score by eating as many pellets and ghosts as possible. Challenge Mode 2 literally leaves players in the dark. Only PAC-MAN, ghosts and Pac-Dots are illuminated as players navigate a totally blacked-out maze. Other modes include surviving as long as you can under a ten minute time limit as PAC-MAN and his enemy ghosts’ speed continue to increase. Mazes contain twisting tunnels and perilous straight-aways that are able to seamlessly morph during gameplay, making PAC-MAN Championship Edition an exciting and new experience every time.

PAC-MAN Championship Edition’s dynamically shifting mazes, vibrant graphics and heart pumping soundtrack give pellet-munching pros another great way to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of gaming’s most recognizable hero.
