Yuke’s and Atlus are teaming up this fall to bring Neverland Card Battles to the PSP in North America, the first time the popular Japanese PS2 game will appear on Sony’s handheld on this side of the pond.
Neverland Card Battles has an original Japanese art style and a cast of super-powered heroes and monsters. In the game, a war between humans and demons has begun tearing Neverland apart, and the ensuing chaos threatens to free the evil god Hellgaia from his tomb. Now, the future rests solely in the hands of the Dominators, those who can wield the otherworldly power found within the land’s Spectral Cards.
As Galahad, a young and brash Dominator, players must set forth on a quest to banish Hellgaia back to his shrine forever and save Neverland from judgment day. You know, typical hero stuff….
Neverland Card Battles for PSP will be enhanced with new cut scenes, new controls and updated sound and graphics optimized for the 16:9 widescreen display. The card-based strategy RPG will also have new ad-hoc multiplayer modes allowing two players to engage in real-time card wars.
Yuke’s is bringing the game to North America via a distribution agreement with Atlus U.S.A.
