If you missed Walmart’s, Target’s and even Amazon’s Black Friday video game sales, Amazon.com has you covered today on “Cyber Monday” with some serious discounts across the board on Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 games, with a few Amazon Cyber Monday bundles thrown into the mix for good measure. Heck, there’s even an Amazon-exclusive PS3 family bundle for those looking to purchase a new PS3 for the holidays.
It’s not surprising to see Amazon with Cyber Monday deals; the e-tailer pretty much created the Cyber Monday craze. But to see game discounts this deep is pretty impressive, even if it is a sign either that games are normally overpriced or that our economy is truly faltering. Or both. But hey, cheap games are good for consumers, so who are we to complain?
Spotted among Amazon’s Cyber Monday sales are a PlayStation 3 160GB Family Bundle with two games for $70 off MSRP, the Wii version of The Beatles: Rock Band for 50% off, Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii for 10% off, Madden NFL 11 for $34.99, Halo: Reach for $39.75, and the Xbox Kinect version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 for $34.95 (30% off).
