American Idol fans, it’s time to vote. No, not on your favorite performer…on the version you’ll buy of Konami’s just-shipped Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore. This new American Idol karaoke game just shipped for PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 2.
In the American Idol game, players sing and perform through a full season of competition on American Idol. Featuring 40 all-new hit songs and several gameplay modes, Karaoke Revolution: American Idol Encore lets players sing their way to fame…well, in their own living rooms, anyway.
Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore lets players play the part of an American Idol contestant as they audition, earn an invitation to Hollywood, perform on center stage and receive verbal feedback on their performance from the judges. Just like the TV show, the evaluation by the game’s judges (Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell) will affect whether they move on to the next round.
Players can personalize their contestant with clothing, hair styles and accessories in the Character Customization mode, and they can even create a 3D model of themselves using the EyeToy for PlayStation 2, the PlayStation Eye for the PS3, and the Xbox Live Vision camera for Xbox 360.
Although the game has more than 40 songs already, Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers can also download new songs from a catalog of more than 140 songs via Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store, respectively.
Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore comes bundled with a microphone for $49.99 (PS2 version), $59.99 (Wii version) or $69.99 (Xbox 360 and PS3 versions).
