Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy Ships for Wii

June 10, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

Majesco today shipped Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy for the Nintendo Wii. Blast Works is a side-scrolling 2D shooter based on Kenta Cho’s popular online game, Tumiki Fighters.

Blast Works is a side-scrolling shooter whose gameplay incorporates a “sticky” element that allows players to absorb the pieces and attributes of enemy ships to provide extra shields and guns to their own ship. In addition to 15 missions included in the basic game, multiple Blast Works Editors allow players to construct their own shapes, ships, levels, enemies and bullet patterns. Additionally, players can assign sound FX and movement patterns to their creations.

Once this custom content is created, players can share it worldwide via the Blast Works Depot Web site, accessible using Nintendo WiFi and WiiConnect24.

Blast Works features multiplayer options for up to four people. It also includes a host of unlockables, such as four Kenta Cho games: rRootage, Gunroar, Torus Trooper and Tumiki Fighters.
