Boom Blox Sequel, Bash Party, Goes Underwater

February 3, 2009 by Sara Leave a Comment

Boom Blox is getting a sequel, Electronic Arts has announced, as Steven Spielberg’s creative team is taking some new themed realms for Boom Blox Bash Party. The Wii-exclusive sequel will include more than 400 new levels spread across levels that take place under water and in zero gravity, among other locales.

Scheduled to ship later this spring, Boom Blox Bash Party will include twice as many multiplayer challenges as the original, including new team-based challenges. The game will also have new such as new block types (virus and conveyor blox), new blox shapes (cylinders and wedges) and new tools such as an expanded create-your-own-level mode.

Players will also find twists on the Boom Blox gameplay model including new cannon, paint ball and slingshot tools. In addition, the blox characters won’t just cheer you on this time; they will be blox themselves that can be thrown, stacked or even launched.

Boom Blox Bash Party will also be online enabled, giving players the chance to download and vote on more levels via the Internet (from EA as well as user-created levels created via the Create Mode).
