Time to bust out the sweat-covered wife beater, Wii owners, because there’s a redneck coming to getcha! Actually, it’s just Calvin Tucker’s Redneck Jamboree, which Zoo Games announced will release for the Wii this holiday season.
Although the topic seems very un-Wii-like, the art style and gameplay is all Nintendo. Featuring a cartoonish art style and a series of redneck-inspired mini-game competitions, Redneck Jamboree is designed to be a laugh-inducing multiplayer party game.
Here’s the premise: players will join the toothless fun at Calvin Tucker’s annual field-day celebration, where families come from all over Redneck County to compete in a variety of countrified events. Rods and reels are for suckers; players will instead use TNT in the Dynamite Fishing game. Likewise, players will need to keep critters and vermin off their property in Backyard Shooting, or try their luck speeding cross-“county” in Lawnmower Racing.
Calvin Tucker’s Redneck Jamboree will ship this November.
