Family Table Tennis Bounces onto WiiWare

May 27, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

Another Wii Sports-like game has surfaced on WiiWare today, as Aksys Games has released Family Table Tennis. However, this isn’t your mama’s table tennis game; it was developed by the creators of the Guilty Gear series.

Now, before you go thinking the head-to-head action will be intense and violent, please note that this game truly is designed to be family friendly. In fact, it’s even got a family friendly price (500 Wii Points).

A cel-shaded game, Family Table Tennis is rather light-hearted, and its control scheme is intuitive and makes logical use of the Wii Remote.

In Family Table Tennis, players can choose from four characters (Daddy, Mommy, Sarah and Billy), then embark on four stages (a gymnasium, a forest park, a beach and an amusement park). Players can choose to play either the single-player or versus modes, or the three included minigames: Target Table Tennis, Thrilling Table Tennis and Matching Table Tennis.
