“Who ya gonna call?” If you’re like us, you’re gonna call GameStop to make sure they’ve got their copies of Ghostbusters: The Video Game in hand, because today is the day Ghostbusters: The Video Game finally ships for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, PC and Nintendo DS.

Written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, the stars and writers of the original Ghostbusters, this all-new adventure coincides with the 25th anniversary of the film’s original theatrical release. It also happens to be shipping alongside Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s debut of the original motion picture on Blu-ray Disc (we anticipate having a review for you soon).

In the Ghostbusters game, players act as a new recruit with the original team, testing a variety of unique equipment and gadgets, to track, wrangle and trap a wide range of phantasms in a new battle to save New York City from its a paranormal plague. Players will be joined in their bustin’ by Aykroyd, Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson, as well as a new love interest played by Alyssa Milano. All the actors provided their voices and in-game likenesses to the game, which is set two years after Ghostbusters 2.
