Little League World Series 2008 Coming to Wii, DS

April 23, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

Nintendo Wii and DS owners who have dreamed of playing in the Little League World Series will have their shot this summer, as Activision today announced development of Little League World Series 2008 for both the Wii and DS.

In the games, players will have the ability to bat, pitch and field using the intuitive controls of both platforms. They’ll be able to do so when the game swings into stores on August 5.

Little League World Series is the first officially licensed Little League video game to hit a “next-generation” console such as the Wii. Little League World Series 2008 will feature eight U.S. and eight international teams, character customization a World Series Mode and various skill-based challenges.

The motion-sensing controls on Wii and touch-sensitive controls on the DS version should make the game accessible for both Little League players and parents.
