Madden NFL 10 will ship for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii on August 14. And really, if you’re a Madden NFL fan, that’s really all you need to know. That, and the pre-order links from Amazon.com, which we’ve included below. For everyone else, we’ll provide a few more details after this short instant-gratification break:
Now, on to the details. Well, the details as they exist at this point, anyway.
Madden NFL 10 will give players more control over the outcome of the play than ever before, as they’re able to drag defenders toward the first-down marker, fight for a fumble at the bottom of the pile and avoid the rush by stepping up into the pocket.
Madden NFL 10 will also use all-new animation technology to help bring this new control to life.
The Nintendo Wii version — which isn’t available for pre-order yet from Amazon — will introduce a unique art style that EA says “will raise the bar for sports games on the console.” Hopefully that doesn’t mean stick figures. Madden NFL 10 for the Wii will also presumably use Wii MotionPlus, as the game has been completely redesigned and built from the ground up for the Wii. But again, details are scarce.
In fact, details are so scarce that the only other piece of info we know is that the game will also be coming to PS2 and PSP. We’ll bring you more info as it surfaces.
