Major League Baseball 2K12 is now available on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PSP, DS and PC, ensuring just about everyone with a gaming system can play the latest round in 2K Sports’ baseball game. MLB 2K12 is developed by Visual Concepts, the development team known for its outstanding production values on its sporting titles. New to the series this year are a dynamic ratings system and revamped throwing system.
The new dynamic ratings system is designed to enhance the battle at the plate, while the revamped throwing system makes fielding seem more realistic. Meanwhile, a new hit distribution system allows for more varied and realistic hits, the My Player mode has been enhanced, and a new MLB Today Season Mode lets players complete an entire season at the same pace as their favorite MLB team.
Using the MLB Today engine, fans can track and compare their stats and record to their real-life counterparts. Gamers can play through their team’s real schedule, one game a day, and see if they can play their way to a World Series title.
