Samurai Warriors: KATANA Coming to Wii

November 15, 2007 by Sara Leave a Comment

KOEI today announced that Samurai Warriors: KATANA, the latest in its action-strategy franchise, will be available for the Nintendo Wii on Jan. 15, 2008.

Played in first-person perspective, Samurai Warriors: KATANA arms players with the motion-sensitive Wii Remote to journey back in time to do battle as a samurai warrior. On each mission, legendary samurai and allies will guide players in their mission to prevent pirates from invading their ships, to rescue maidens from a burning castle, and to explore mysterious caverns stalked by ninjas.

Samurai Warriors: KATANA offers three different gameplay modes: Musou Mode (nearly 30 hours long) takes players on an adventure through Feudal Japan, Trial Mode lets samurai-in-training prepare for battle with various challenges that earn players gold with which they can purchase weapons and precious items, and Versus Mode lets players go head-to-head with a friend in eight mini-games.
