Tenchu 4 to be Exclusive to Nintendo Wii

September 23, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

The next chapter in the Tenchu franchise will be a Wii exclusive, Ubisoft announced today. Tenchu 4, which will launch in North America and Europe in early 2009, is currently in development by the original Tenchu developers (Acquire) and will make use of the motion-sensitive controls possible with the Wii.

According to Ubisoft, Tenchu 4 will use the Wii Remote to fight, dash, jump and kill “like a true ninja.” Players will continue the saga of Rikimaru and Ayame, elite ninjas who must use their lethal skills to keep the peace in feudal Japan.

Playing as both stealthy Rikimaru and aggressive and acrobatic Ayame, players will fight their way through more than 10 missions and 50 side quests. Players will have in their arsenal katanas, throwing stars, daggers and smoke bombs.
