Sega has shipped The Incredible Hulk videogame for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2 and DS, giving gamers a chance to sneak a peek at content based on the soon-to-release movie as well as the Marvel Comics.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be upgraded later this month with free downloadable content that allows for competitive online multiplayer modes and other online features.
As the Hulk, players can demolish anything in their path, including lamp posts, passing cars and even entire buildings. The fury-fueled game features key moments from the film as well as additional plotlines and characters from the Incredible Hulk universe. Players crash through an open-world New York City and use every object in the world as a weapon.
The upcoming downloadable content for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of The Incredible Hulk will include six competitive two-player mission types that test players’ speed, strength and skill. Each mission takes place in one of five arenas, presenting dynamic and fully destructible environments packed with nonstop action and ruthless enemies.
The update will also allow players to access the online leaderboards and online matchmaking features.
