Tony Hawk's Proving Ground Grinds into Retail

October 16, 2007 by Sara Leave a Comment

Wondering how Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground will stack up against Skate? Today you can find out, as Activision has shipped Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground to retailers nationwide. The game appears on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, DS and PS2.
The latest installment in the skateboarding franchise is focused on customization, some of which will even help define their story based on the choices they make, the paths they skate and the style they choose. In addition, the game features a video editor and a customizable skate lounge where players can skate with friends online in a personalized pad.
Set in the streets of Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground features an arsenal of “Nail the Trick” moves, including Nail the Grab and Nail the Manual for total board control. There’s also skateable terrain building and an “Aggro Kick” for intense action.
The game also lets gamers seamlessly skate from the single-player mode to online multiplayer with their friends.
As a bonus for Xbox 360 gamers, Activision has included demos of five songs from Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Both Guitar Hero 3 and Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground are being developed by Neversoft.
