Ubisoft today announced it will publish Emergency Heroes exclusively for the Nintendo Wii this May. Emergency Heroes is an open-world rescue-driving game.
In Emergency Heroes for the Wii, young rescuers can jump into 16 different variations of rescue vehicles as a police officer, firefighter or EMT. Once in their vehicle of choice, players will navigate through the sprawling streets of San Alto, keeping citizens safe along the way.
Players can explore and protect the entire city either on their own or in the game’s two-player co-op mode. The multiplayer modes will also extend to competitive rescue challenges.
Ubisoft assures us that the gameplay will make use of the motion-sensitive Wii Remote, but the company didn’t specify exactly how the controls will play out. All Ubisoft hinted at was “fast-action gameplay” and the ability to “take advantage of Hero Mode and play like you mean it — the faster you drive, the faster you rise and gain access to powers of invincibility.”
Clearly, there are a bunch of questions still unanswered. DailyGame will provide more information as soon as it’s available. In the meantime, check out the first three Emergency Heroes Wii screenshots:
