Lighthouse Interactive today announced a North American release date for Belief & Betrayal, its PC adventure game. The game will ship to retail stores in the United States and Canada on March 28.
Players will span the globe as one of three different characters. As journalist Jonathan Danter, players will discover that a 10-year-old murder is part of a greater mystery that could destroy humanity itself. Naturally there are plot twists and conspiracy theories, so players must uncover the truth that spans time from 1194 A.D. to the time Judas received 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus Christ.
In many respects, Belief & Betrayal sounds similar to The DaVinci Code. For instance, the game features plenty of lost and ancient manuscripts, whose mind-boggling codes and symbols players must decipher. The game also takes place in locations throughout Europe, including London, Venice, Rome and the Vatican. And, of course, the story will uncover secrets of some of the most powerful leaders around the world.
Belief & Betrayal originally released in Europe in 2007. Since then, the game has received some tweaks and polishing for the North American PC-gaming market.
