BioShock got its first batch of downloadable content today, and in a move that’s keeping the holiday spirit alive, 2K Games has made the BioShock downloadable content available for free.
The new content includes new Plasmids and Tonics, Achievements and interface upgrades. These extras are all available right now as free downloadable content from Xbox Live Marketplace (through an Xbox 360 Title Update) and as part of a PC patch. An outline of the new plasmids, tonics and achievements is below.
The four new Plasmids and Gene Tonics are:
- Sonic Boom: Hurls creatures and objects back with a blast of force
- EVE saver: Enables Plasmids to use less EVE
- Vending Expert: Reduces prices in the vending machines
- Machine Buster: Increases the amount of damage players deal to cameras, bots and turrets
The new Xbox 360 Bioshock Achievement is a new 100-point Achievement called “Brass Balls,” which players can earn by beating BioShock on the Hard difficulty without dying.
