Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath Ships for PC

March 25, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

Electronic Arts today began shipping Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath for PC in both Europe and North America. Kane’s Wrath is the expansion pack to last year’s real-time strategy game Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars.

Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath introduces a new campaign that spans two decades of Tiberium lore. It also introduces six sub-factions and epic units to the Command & Conquer universe.

Perhaps most enticing, though, gamers who purchase Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath or the Command & Conquer 3 Limited Collection will receive an exclusive key to the Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 beta, which starts this summer.

The Xbox 360 version of Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath will be released this summer with a new “CommandStick” interface that takes RTS console controls in a whole new (and simple) direction. The standalone Xbox 360 title will feature 50 multiplayer maps and the Xbox 360 exclusive Kane’s Challenge Mode, a single-player mode that pits the player against a gauntlet of sub-faction opponents.

On the PC, Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath includes a 13-mission single-player campaign focused on the period from the rebirth of the Brotherhood of Nod after the Second Tiberium War through the dramatic events of the Third Tiberium War and beyond. The campaign also introduces six all-new sub-factions that transfer over to the multiplayer modes as well, giving gamers nine sides to choose from in multiplayer.

The expansion pack also introduces Global Conquest Mode, which allows commanders to create their own campaigns for world domination.
