Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 PC Demo to Release Monday

November 21, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

A single-player demo for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 will be available on Monday (Nov. 24), EA announced today, a chance to see the game’s cinematic opening and play through three tutorials and two full campaign missions.

The single-player demo will include one campaign mission from both the Soviet and the Allied campaigns. The Krasna-45: Circus of Treachery mission is the second mission of the Soviet campaign. In it, players are introduced to the series’ newest faction, the Empire of the Rising Sun, as they escort the Soviet commando Natasha to a launch facility while protecting her from an Imperial ambush division.

The other mission, Heidelberg: The Famous Liberation, is the third mission from the Allied campaign and sees players teaming-up with an in-game Co-Commander to take out the Soviet’s powerful Iron Curtain and headquarters in Germany.

The demo will give gamers a chance to try Red Alert 3 before the game’s first major patch releases later this year. The upcoming update will include the WorldBuilder, C&C Red Alert 3’s map-making and mod tool. It will also feature enhancements to AutoMatch for multiplayer, balance fixes, and a de-authorization tool that will allow players to de-authorize previously authenticated machines on which that they no longer wish to play Red Alert 3.

The demo will reportedly be available from Gamespot, but with any luck, EA will mirror a version as well.
