Mythic Entertainment today revealed details about the open beta for its MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR). With the game set to ship for PC on Sept. 18, the beta will begin on Sept. 7, giving fans almost two weeks to tinker before the full retail game goes live.
Players can get into the North American open beta by pre-ordering Warhammer Online from select retail partners. Participants from the North American closed beta will automatically be granted open beta access. You can go here for more information about the WAR open beta.
In the meantime, here’s a quick overview about Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. In the game, players can join hundreds of thousands of mighty heroes on the battlefields of a grim fantasy world in perpetual conflict. Players can choose to fight for either the Realms of Order (Dwarfs, High Elves, and Empire) or Destruction (Greenskins, Dark Elves, and Chaos), invading enemy lands, besieging imposing fortresses and sacking capital cities for the glory of their Realm. WAR gamers can join epic Public Quests to wield devastating magic and deadly weapons against monstrous creatures, then climb the Bastion Stair and unlock the infinite secrets of the Tome of Knowledge.
